Abstract:
The article describes the main approaches to the formation of gender identity in psychoanalysis - phallocentric and gynocentric. The first approach is based on work from Z. Freud to the works of J. Lacan, it discribed on the concept of the Oedipus complex as the determines for gender roles, functions and rituals that establish differences. The second approach is on the notion of separation and joining processes and socio-cultural factors.
